BATEMANS PALACE OF DREAMS CELEBRATED IN NEW EXHIBITION The old Batemans Bay Picture Theatre was demolished on 21st May 1983, as part of the town's re-development. Some days before, a Gala Dinner was held locally, which included a screening of 'For the Term of his Natural Life', followed by a 'mock burning' of the theatre.

If you visit the Museum in June you will be able to experience a small-scale, working version of the old Theatre (seats 10-12). It forms part of a new exhibit entitled 'After Hours'.
