“Stitched with Love” exhibition


“Stitched with Love” - Convict Bonnets tell a Tale


A charming temporary display of bonnets goes on display at the Old Courthouse Museum, Batemans Bay,from September 5th - 20th 2018.

Created by members of the Fellowship of First Fleeters (Southern Highlands Chapter) to honour convict women with descendants in the Southern Highlands of NSW, each bonnet is accompanied by a brief history of their convict ancestor.

The Museum is open Tues-Thurs 10-3, with a special opening Sunday16th Sept 12-3pm to accommodate the general public and attendees at the Annual Conference of the NSW and ACT Family History Society Batemans Bay 14/15/16th Sept.
