Shadow Minister visits Bega and Eurobodalla

Shadow Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Small Business and Acting Shadow Minister for Women, Jenny Aitchison MP met with many of the key service providers in and around Bega today to learn first hand of the concerns, accomplishments and future needs required in the area.

The Shadow Minister will be in Moruya and Batemans Bay on Friday to meet with Eurobodalla based stakeholders across the range of her portfolios. Hosted by Labor candidate for Bega, Leanne Atkinson, they will be starting the day with a revealing round table discussion represented by service providers working within the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault service support areas. While in Bega the Shadow Minister also attended a rally with Labor's Leanne Atkinson, calling for the current Bega TAFE NSW campus to be redeveloped rather than spending money on a new campus at the old Bega Hospital site.

Ian Campbell of About Regional was there to report on a range of other concerns that were also raised at today's lunchtime rally by CPSU - Community and Public Sector Union, NSW Teachers Federation and the @South Coast Labour Council.
