SUBMERGED - Stories of Australia's Shipwrecks Exhibition open til Apr 26th


SUBMERGED - Stories of Australia's Shipwrecks. The Old Courthouse Museum has been selected as the first regional venue to host this National Touring Exhibition. Sponsored by the Australian National Maritime Museum, the exhibition will run to April 26th, Tue/Wed/Thu 10am-3pm. There is a special weekend opening of "Submerged" on April 15th, 2pm-4pm, to accommodate weekend visitors and those unable to visit during the usual opening hours of Tues/Wed/Thurs 10am-3pm. In addition to the National coverage of this exhibition, there will also be a focus on wrecks of the NSW South Coast.


Above: In a gesture to naval tradition, a delighted Commodore Ian Holmes, AM, (rtd) accepts a spiced rum 'thank you' from Historical Society president Ewan Morrison. Commodore Holmes launched the exhibition "Submerged: Stories of Australia's Shipwrecks" now on display at the Old Courthouse Museum.


NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
