Durras drop-in to see boat ramp plans

Revised plans for an upgrade to the Durras Lake boat ramp and car park will be on display at a community information drop-in session at Durras Community Hall next Thursday (13 April) from 10am to 1pm.

Council developed plans for an upgraded boat ramp, beach access ramp and raised car park in conjunction with the Durras Community Association last year.

Following feedback from the wider South Durras community, Council staff have now revised the plans.

Changes include lowering the proposed car park level, removing a proposed retaining wall, retaining vegetation where possible and providing additional bank restoration works to prevent erosion and maintain easy access to the beach area.

Council staff will be available to explain the changes and discuss the staging of the project at a drop-in session at the Durras Community Hall on Banyandah Street on Thursday 13 April from 10am to 1pm.

The plans are also available at www.esc.nsw.gov.au/durraslakeboatramp

Construction of the project will begin in May. Media Release
