The old Batemans Bay Picture Theatre was demolished on 21st May 1983, as part of the town's re-development.

Planning for the 250th Batemans Bay naming anniversary
This Monday, April 22nd, marks the 249th anniversary of Lieutenant James Cook’s naming of Batemans Bay as the HMS Endeavour sailed north along our coastline on Cook’s first voyage of discovery to the Australian eastern coastline in 1770. This anniversary is our reminder of the origins of our town’s name. Mackay Park Land gifted to the community 100 years ago : History reveals
If the Batemans Bay Bowling Club was still standing today it would be on land gifted 100 years ago to the Batemans Bay community as reported in the Moruya Examiner March 1st, 1919. Nelligen Bridge update
Eurobodalla Shire Council have begun carrying out the early work for the Nelligen Bridge Replacement project. The work includes clearing of vegetation, delivery of earth fill, and earthworks on the eastern side of the Clyde River. Draft Plan records history of Mackay Park lands
The draft Plan of Management for Mackay Park to be put before Eurobodalla Councillors for their consideration on Tuesday December 11th, 2018 offers some of the history of the land.
