Letter of protest against BBay Comm Centre sale accepted as a submission to EOI report

Are written community protests against the leasing of the Batemans Bay Community Centre being accepted as submissions to be included in Council's report to Councillors? It appears so. On receipt of an open letter to the Eurobodalla Shire’s General Manager and all the Elected Councillors (a copy published here) the Eurobodalla Shire Mayor, Clr Liz Innes responded immediately by advising it had been received and read. Oddly however the response to Mr Brown also advised

"Your email will be included as a submission to the Council report to consider the Batemans Bay Community Centre Lease - Expression of Interest. A report will be presented to Council as soon as practical following the closure of the Expression of Interest. You will be notified of the date and time of this meeting." Currently, according to Council's website, Eurobodalla Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations interested in obtaining a lease of the Batemans Bay Community Centre, 3-5 Museum Place, Batemans Bay NSW 2536. The lease must be for community purposes. Based on the formal response of the Mayor advising that "Your email will be included as a submission to the Council report to consider the Batemans Bay Community Centre Lease - Expression of Interest." members of the community wishing to express their concerns, can email their submission to by Thursday 8 October 2020, 4pm
