Changed Traffic Conditions On Princes Highway At Coila

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Princes Highway at Coila and Turlinjah from next week to improve road user safety.

Work involves tree clearing and trimming on the Princes Highway near Coila Lake and Smarts Creek Bridge to improve sight distances for motorists and prevent branches from falling on the road.

Work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 5pm until Monday 19 June, weather permitting.

For the safety of motorists and workers, one lane will be closed during work hours and an alternate traffic flow and reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place.

Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and signs.

Roads and Maritime Services will also complete slope stabilisation work on the Princes Highway at Turlinjah in June.

The community will be updated on times and dates before work the start of work.

Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.
