Tomakin Mens Bowls ushers in new era.

In exciting news from the Tomakin Sports & Social Clubs Mens Bowls Club, young guns Stuart Megee and Nick Tyce are set to battle it out on the greens for this years Major Singles Title.

In what is believed to be a first of its kind for the South Coast these two outstanding junior players have risen through the ranks of much more seasoned opponents to earn the right to play each other for the mens bowls clubs highest honour in 2019.

The two young bowlers have teamed up over the past few years travelling all over the state and competing both with and against each other with a great deal of success.

Stuart has won the Zone and District Junior singles titles in 2015 to 2018 and was runner up to Nick who took out the title in 2019. Whilst Nick placed runner up to Stuart in 2017 & 2018. The boys have been Zone and District Junior Pairs Champions in 2018 & 2019, reaching the semi-finals of the NSW State Championships in 2018 only going down to the eventual winners in a tough contest. Nick will be the Zone singles representative in this years Championships in July.

Tomakin Sports & Social Club and its members are very proud of these young bowlers who are showing that there is a place for youth in this great game and there is sure to be a very interested crowd in attendance this Saturday 15th June to witness this historic event.

Good luck to both boys!
