UPDATE: A crew from Marine Rescue Batemans Bay has returned a Sydney boater and his 3.5m tinny to shore after the vessel overturned, throwing him into the water, at Corrigans Beach earlier this afternoon.

Rescue vessel Batemans 20 was rapidly on the scene to rescue the man, who was cold but otherwise safe and well. He was wearing a lifejacket. A NSW Police vessel also responded. The Batemans Bay crew towed the vessel to shore, where it was righted. Thanks to our volunteers for making a world of difference in National Volunteer Week.
