Rotary Pride Of Workmanship Awards 2019

The annual Rotary Batemans Bay Pride of Workmanship Awards Scheme gives local employers the opportunity to recognise one of their employees, irrespective of age or vocation, who displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to his or her job. The Award also spreads the theme of Pride of Workmanship amongst employees and the wider community.

This year at an Awards Dinner, Rotary Batemans Bay President Alan Russell presented awards to two very worthy and grateful recipients.

Julie Watton (above),Practice Nurse, was nominated and received the award in recognition of 22 years of high quality medical service at Batehaven Medical Centre represented at the awards night by Dr. Peter Brandson. Julie’s helpful demeanour and dedication to a position of considerable trust is greatly admired and appreciated by staff and clients alike.

Rotarians Jeff and Pam Thorpe nominated Rob Ralston of Ralston Building Pty Ltd, who received the award in recognition of his excellent record of dedication and commitment to the highest standard of construction and renovation work in Batemans Bay.

This is not a competition, rather, through this programme, Rotary aims to encourage a pride of workmanship in the community by publicly recognising the value of pride in personal performance in the workplace, hence the scheme’s motto ‘Do it once, do it well.’
