Mayor to skydive to officially open the 2019 Australian and New Zealand National Skydiving Champions


This Sunday evening, 10 March, Eurobodalla Shire Mayor Liz Innes will skydive in celebration of the opening ceremony for the 2019 Australian and New Zealand National Skydiving Championships in Moruya.

The ceremony will launch a one-week campaign for national glory, with up to 150 competitors set to join a huge contingent of supporters, judges, officials, sponsors and spectators in descending on Moruya on the NSW South Coast from March 11th to 18th for the latest chapter in an event with a rich sporting history.

The Australia & New Zealand National Skydiving Championships Opening Ceremony is at 6pm this SUNDAY, 10th March at the Moruya aerodrome on Bruce Cameron Drive, Moruya where Liz Innes will be taking to the sky in her first tandem jump to launch the National Skydiving event.

Also adding the the opening will be the Aerobatic air show by Paul Bennett, one of the world’s best aerobatic pilots and a Skydive oz demonstration in a colourful display of skydivers sprinkled across the coastal Moruya skyline as the sun sets
