Batemans Bay Evening View Club news

The February meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club was the Annual General Meeting with a new committee elected for 2019. Julie Teer was sworn in as president with Loretta Thornton supporting her as Vice President. Other office bearers are Anita Barnes (Secretary), Coral Pryor (Assistant Secretary), Nancy Carter (Treasurer), Leslie Handley (Assistant Treasurer), Noreen Bain (Delegate), Jenny McCaskill and Kathy Usher (Program Officers), Sybil Turbet (Welfare Officer) and Annette Hazell (Publicity Officer). The new committee were presented with their committee badge by Glennis Beauchamp representing our National Office.

After the formal part of the meeting a delicious two-course meal was enjoyed by all. After the meal we celebrated the birthdays of members having a birthday in February. June Brooks and Maryanne Bowen were presented with a chocolate gift to celebrate their birthdays.

Absent from the new committee were Jenny McCaskill and Sybil Turnet In January we also had another fundraising BBQ at Bunnings and this has provided a wonderful start to our fundraising for The Smith Family Learning for Life Program for 2019.

The next meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club will be held on Wednesday 13 March 2018 at the Catalina Country Club at 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm with a two course meal at a cost of $28.00. Visitors and guests are always welcome to come and join everyone and enjoy an evening with women from all walks of life and listening to a great guest speaker.
