Batemans Bay: Illegal Chinese immigrant for 10 years nabbed

South Coast Police District report:

On 12th February, 2019 Batemans Bay Police were called to Observation Point, Batehaven to assist the Fisheries with a female who was refusing to supply details. The female had been detained with excess Oysters, and further information that she had been at the same location for the last 2 days collecting similar amounts of Oysters.

The female claimed she could not speak English and continued to refuse providing any identification to police. She was arrested and conveyed to the Batemans Bay Police station to establish her identity. . Border Force Australia was contacted and it was established that the female was illegally in the country. Officers from Border Force Australia arrived in Batemans Bay police station and took the female into their custody and conveyed her to Villawood Detention Centre where she is now facing deportation.
