Three more store closures for Batemans Bay

News at hand is that The Good Reader in the Village Plaza is closing on the 24th February and are presently having a 70% off store wide sale. This will leave Batemans Bay with no book shop. In Orient Street, just around the corner Target Batemans Bay have announced they will close in April. In a statement issued from their head office on February 15th, 2019, it said the Orient St store would close its doors on April 20.

Wesfarmers, which also owns Bunnings, Kmart and Officeworks, said it hoped to transfer staff of the retail clothing and home wares stores to other outlets.

"Target is working hard to ensure our Batemans Bay team members can join another Target team at a store convenient to them or across the wider Wesfarmers retail businesses," the statement said. In North Street the very popular Vaemp store that has been the providers of family clothing, school uniforms, shoes, bags and accessories will be closing their doors at the end of next week. Presently they have an up to 75% off closing down sale. Vaemp has been in Batemans Bay for 15 years under the ownership of Janine and Paul Meirs who took over the buisness from original owners Richard and Dixie when the shop was called Browse About. Paul and Janine extend a farewell to their loyal customers thanking them for their support and friendship.
