Family BMX Day at BMX Batemans Bay Feb 23rd



Batemans Bay BMX Club are hosting a RideIn2 BMX day at the Batemans Bay BMX track. Kayla Trevare, one of the dedicated volunteers and committee memberswith the club says "This is your chance to come and try BMX. BMX is a super fun, fast and action packed sport that your kids will love. WHEN: Saturday 23rd February 2019 WHERE: Batemans Bay BMX Track, Calga Cresent, Batehaven TIME: 1:00pm - 3:00pm WHAT TO BRING: A bike if you have one - or you may borrow a Club bike - and a water bottle. WHAT TO WEAR: Long sleeves, long pants, enclosed shoes, full fingered gloves and a full faced helmet. Helmets and gloves may be borrowed from the Club. ***Qualified Coaches and Officials will ensure a safe and fun day! ***Ride In2 BMX with us! ***Mini Wheelers with balance bikes are welcome!


Batemans Bay BMX Club is located on the corner of George Bass Drive and Calga Crescent, Batehaven. They are just up from the Batemans Bay High School. Batemans Bay BMX are an enthusiastic and family oriented club who love to see their riders having fun on bikes! They have fantastic qualified Coaches to ensure the best for your rider! Their regular volunteers are usually at the track from 12pm on Saturday's to get the track ready for racing so please feel free to head to the track to help set up and prep the track. All volunteers are greatly appreciated. Full protective clothing - helmets, gloves, long pants, long sleeved top and enclosed shoes are required for Coaching Sessions, Gates Sessions and Racing.New members of all ages, as well as visitors from other clubs, both NSW and interstate, are always welcome! Tuesday - Advanced Coaching - 4:30pm-5:30pm ($10 per rider) Please contact Andrew Hearne for more information (0415 604 601). Wednesday - Coaching for Sprockets and Age Class riders - 4:15pm-5:15pm ($5 per rider) Thursday - Mini Wheelers - 3:45pm-4:30pm ($2 per rider) Thursday - Gates Practice - 4:30pm-5:30pm ($2 per rider) Saturday - Racing - 2:00pm. Sign On for racing is from 1:00pm to 1:30pm. Racing is $7 per rider or capped at $20 per family. BMX Mini Wheelers is an introductory level where riders develop balance, gross motor skills and independence to begin riding a bike. Riders will be able to develop skills that allows their progression in the sport to become seamless as they progress on to the more traditional BMX bike. With this class both boys and girls can ride their Balance Bike on a set course, as long as your little person can walk they can ride a Balance Bike and join in on the fun of BMX Mini Wheelers.
