Batemans Bay Kids Fishing Workshop a great success

Last Wednesday saw 25 passionate fishers assembled for a day of learning at the Batemans Bay Kids Fishing Workshop

NSW Fisheries runs four hour kids fishing workshops for eight-14 year olds. The children learn how fish responsibly in a safe and fun environment. The NSW DPI fishing workshops also includes fun lessons on fishing techniques, information on NSW fishing rules, best methods to maximise released fish survival and a practical fishing session in a safe location. At $40 per child the cost per child included quality rod and reel, shirt, hat, tackle box, show bag-all to take home. NSW DPI fishing workshops are run with the assistance of the Fishcare Volunteers and are supported by funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
