Luna returns after 10 days lost

The Eurobodalla is a community that cares for its dogs. That became more than evident for a visiting Canberra couple whose miniature schnauzer Luna went missing in Lilli Pilli.

Luna’s owners spent ten days scouring the Lilli Pilli bushland, putting posters up around the area from Batemans Bay to Moruya, talking to anyone they could from Council rangers to animal welfare groups and saturating Facebook with Lost dog appeals.

Much to the widespread relief of what was now a strong community following waiting for updates Luna was recovered in good health, found by the owner at a construction site. The reunion was one of pure rejoicing by both Luna and her owner.

Jane, Luna's owner told the Beagle “The local community was amazing. There was so much the kindness with lots of messages of care and support”

In Tuross a blind fifteen year old Grover wandered off the path at Coila resulting in “man hunt” that saw the community sweep the foreshores. Grover, Luna, along with all of the other dogs that went missing over the last couple of weeks are all safe and sound.
