Funding Boost For Broulee Surf Life Saving Club

Member for Bega Andrew Constance has today announced $350,000 in funding for Broulee Surf Life Saving Club as part of the NSW Government’s 2018/19 Surf Club Facility Program.

The funding is part of $3.9 million awarded for 24 projects to improve facilities and equipment at surf life saving clubs across NSW.

The $350,000 funding has been provided to complete stage 2 of the Clubhouse expansion at the surf club.

“Surf Life Saving NSW does immensely important work- saving lives and providing opportunities for people of all ages to get fit and healthy,” Mr Constance said.

“The aim of this program is to increase the availability, standard and quality of surf lifesaving clubs in NSW for the benefit of their members and the wider community.

“I congratulate the Surf Club on their successful application and look forward to seeing the benefits of this next stage of their upgrades.

“It gives me great pleasure to assist local Surf Clubs as they provide a vital service to our community,” Mr Constance added.

Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the Surf Club Facility Program supports surf club infrastructure across NSW.

“Surf life saving clubs are home to the tens of thousands of volunteer lifesavers who patrol our beaches across the state, and this funding means they will be able to do an even better job ensuring people are safe on our beaches," Mr Ayres said.
