SES busy up and down the coast following storms

A big thank you to all the volunteer emergency services crews and council workers called out over the weekend to attend to the damage from the storms.

The NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit reports:

"With the frequent weather events this weekend, we had a few requests for assistance.

Late on Friday night we were called to a house on Edward Road, Batehaven. Residents were experiencing over flood inundation due to the heavy rain and blocked drains. We laid sand bags to prevent water entry.

"On Saturday, we made safe a tree branch that was threatening a frequently used footpath in Tomakin. The limb was cut from the dangerous height.

"Late Saturday evening, we attended a house in High View Avenue, Surf Beach. The source of a leak could not be identified, so a relief hole was made in the ceiling to relieve water pressure and allow pooled water to drain from the ceiling.

"On Sunday, we attended Yowani Road, Rosedale where a limb from a tree was preventing access/egress from a property. The limb was made safe and access restored." the reported.
