In a media release this morning Andrew Constance is calling on NSW Opposition Leader, Michael Daley to explain his comments of November 21st The media statement states: MR DALEY - PLEASE EXPLAIN
In light of the statement made last week regarding my representation of the Bega electorate, I am calling on Mr Daley to please explain his negative and nasty words during his visit to the region today. (please see below) 21 November transcriptANDREW CONSTANCE CONFIRMS HE WILL ABANDON GLADYS BEREJIKLIAN AND HER GOVERNMENT (NSW)NSW Opposition Leader, Michael Daley, says embattled Transport Minister Andrew Constance confirmed today he is abandoning the Premier and her dying government along with the constituents of his electorate of Bega and jumping ship to Canberra ahead of the state election next March. The Member for Strathfield Jodi McKay proposed a motion farewelling Mr Constance who is going to contest the Federal Electorate of Gilmore. Mr Constance replied to Ms McKay after she told Parliament that she would miss his presence in the Parliament with the following words; "Not as much as I'll miss you"
I again wish to reiterate, I will be running a positive campaign focussed on local people and our local community at the March election.
We have built and are building over $700 million in community projects such as the new Bega TAFE, Victoria Creek and Dignams Creek Princes Highway realignments, Eurobodalla Hospital, Batemans Bay and Nelligen Bridges, Eurobodalla indoor aquatic and arts centre, water filtration for Bega, Brogo Bermagui and Tathra along with the development at the Port at Eden.
I am standing for the state election as the candidate for the Bega electorate.
Labor should leave their politics in Sydney and stop annoying local communities.
Unlike them my priority is outcomes for our local community, not politics.
