Corunna Forest Protest to become a major election issue as protests grow

The Lone Drummer had a special message for Forestry Corp NSW on Saturday - "leave Corunna Forest alone, look after the #MaskedOwl and please protect the Marine Park Sanctuary foreshore of Corunna Lake."

The Corunna Forest Protection Group say "This forest can no longer be ignored - The issue had Fourth Page news at the Bega District News this week - the people are speaking up to say they demand to be heard on Climate Change, Extinction Crisis, and appropriate forestry management." "As works are set to start on the foreshore this week and the #GiantsOfMacquarieStreet begin to tumble, the news can't get any louder from a community in mourning." "We encourage the community to watch this beautiful film of what should be retained. Constance now has a permanent stain that marks his inability to listen to his constituents. We’ll be talking with our pens come election time"

Video: CORUNNA: Beauty of Corunna, a film by David Gallan A small community between Mystery Bay and Tilba in deep mourning at the loss of the beautiful space. As the #MaskedOwl habitat is beginning to be logged today, when 400 people have voted in favour of saving the Masked Owl in just two days - the people are still waiting for vital news from @andrewconstanceMP #AndrewConstance #NSW #Forestry#OwlyMcOwlface as Mr Constance will be known throughout the #Eurobodalla from now until the State Election in March - 100 people have signed a fresh petition to save the Masked Owl and the Sea Eagle in less than a day! This is an amazing short view of the forest shot by Dave Gallan on Saturday - Dave is the acclaimed documentary maker of Understorey: a film on the south east forest campaigns, sadly forestry began chewing through this space on Sunday

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
