Batemans Bay parkrun # 126 - 29/09/2018


Forty nine parkrunners enjoyed a perfect Saturday morning which saw First Timer Greg Taylor come home in a time of 18:35. In all there were eleven first timers enjoying the run. The morning also saw ten new PB's What a fantastic pacer parkrun we had Congratulations to those who managed a PB on the Batemans Bay course: Harry Clark Kayne Carmichael Kellie Grubb Karmen Ison Christopher Lamb Samantha Tibbles Jaxon Davey Tony Dawe Abbey Clark and Judi Jamieson. A big thank you to Eurocoast Athletics Club for providing some of their members as pacers last Saturday - Rhys Flood, Harrison Gilligan, Jo Flood, Vaughn Gilligan and Brock Gilligan. And to parkrun regulars Deb Livermore and Stephen Phipps for making up our pacer numbers. They all did a fantastic job but special mention to Brock for being the closest to his assigned time - only 1 second out - and entertaining us with a delaying dance before the finish line. Wish we had a photo of that!!


Like to try parkrun? Well really it is only five kms! Could take 25 minutes or 90 minutes! We would love to have so many more people join us just to do it! 7.50am meet every Saturday for 8am start! Just do it!

New runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join this friendly and free weekly event. We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50 am for the 8.00 am start. The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout on Beach Road in Batemans Bay. You can find out more about us and see lots of photographs on our Batemans Bay parkrun Facebook page. If you fancy parkrun, you need to register online at www.parkrun.com.au. You will be allocated a personal barcode which needs to be printed and brought to parkrun so that you get a recorded result as well as parkrun fun.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
