Rabbit Baiting in Tuross to begin


RABBIT BAITING (TUROSS HEAD) Council will be conducting rabbit control via Pindone baiting with carrot in various locations in Tuross Head. Duration of control period: Free feeding (non-poison): • 10th - 14th September 2018. Pindone baiting: • START: 4pm on the 17th September 2018 • END: 8am on the 22nd September 2018 Residents and visitors are advised: - Do not touch or interfere with poisoned carrots, oats, bait stations or carcasses - Strictly supervise children at all times where baiting is being conducted - Keep pets restrained and do not allow them to roam or scavenge - Non target animals may be affected - Seek medical or veterinary advice immediately if you suspect bait has been swallowed, All Pindone baits will be laid at dusk, and any uneaten bait will be removed before 8am the following day. Where nocturnal native wildlife is present, baiting may be conducted under protective covers. Every effort will be made to locate and dispose of dead rabbits, however if a carcass is located, please contact Council’s Invasive Species Supervisor on 4474 1269 or email paul.martin@eurocoast.nsw.gov.au to arrange for disposal.


NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
