Batemans Bay Hospital Auxiliary News

A reminder that the Batemans Bay Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a Charity Auction and Secondhand Book Sale on Sunday 24th June at the Hanging Rock Sporting Complex, Catalina, starting at 10.30am when you will be able to peruse and buy the books and check out the goods for auction on display. The auction will start at 11.30am. Sales are cash only as EFTPOS is not available. Lunch will be on sale from 11.30am, as well as coffee, tea, soft drinks and water. Also there is a lift for those who are unable to negotiate the stairs.

We have had a wonderful support from the local businesses in Batemans Bay and a lot of fantastic goods have been donated for the auction. A big thank you to everyone for their generosity to make this event possible.

We are still looking for workers for the Kiosk at the Hospital, the hours are 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. If you are interested in doing a few hours helping out contact Jeannette on 0439028615 or Ann on 040896436.

If anyone has 8 ply wool they no longer want and wondering what to do with it the Auxiliary would be grateful for the donation as a lot of our knitters knit up squares which are then made into blankets, some are sold for fund raising but a lot of them go to the dementia and frail patients who then are able to take their blanket with them when they leave hospital. The wool can be dropped in to our Craft Group at the Conference Room on a Tuesday morning between 9.30am and ll.30am or to the Kiosk when it is open.
