Teen charged over multiple break-ins – Maloneys Beach

A teenage boy will face court following investigations into several break-ins on the South Coast.

Police will allege between mid-November 2017 and 23 December 2018, an unoccupied holiday house in Maloneys Beach was broken into and jewellery was stolen.

Between Sunday 15 April and Wednesday 18 April 2018, 17 cabins in a caravan park at Sunshine Bay were also allegedly broken into, with cash, jewellery, power tools and electrical items taken.

Crime scenes were established at both incidents and examined for forensic evidence.

Following inquiries, yesterday, detectives from South Coast Police District arrested a 16-year-old teenager at Batemans Bay Police Station.

He was subsequently charged several offences including:

- Break, enter and steal (x7);

- Attempt break, enter and steal (x6), and

- Enter with intent to steal (x5).

The teen was granted strict conditional bail to appear at a Children’s Court on Thursday 21 June 2018. NSW Police Media
