South Coast Police report


About 2:30am Monday 7 May, 2018, a Hyundai station wagon was stopped by police on Old Punt Road, North Batemans Bay for the purpose of a random breath and drug test.

The 45 year old male driver from Balgownie was tested with a positive reading for cannabis.

He was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station for secondary testing.

Laboratory results are pending further legal action.


At 11:40pm Sunday 6 May 2018, police stopped a 52 year old male driver on Beach Road, Batehaven for a roadside drug and alcohol test.

After a positive reading for cannabis, the driver was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.

He was subjected to a secondary drug test.

Further laboratory testing will be conducted prior to taking legal action.


Around 10:30pm on Friday 4 May 2018, a 52 year old man was stopped by police driving a Holden Commodore ute in Tilba Street, Narooma for roadside testing.

He recorded a positive reading for alcohol and arrested.

At Narooma Police Station, after a breath analysis test, he was charged with High range PCA.

He had his licence suspended and will appear at Narooma Local Court on 17 May 2018.
