Labor Candidate for Gilmore, Fiona Phillips, has launched a scathing attack on Ann Sudmalis over the new Nowra Bridge. Mrs Phillips says with planning now pushed out until the end of 2019, Ann Sudmalis and her Liberal Government are now stalling until after the next federal and state election, with no funds guaranteed for construction of the new Nowra Bridge. “How long do South Coast commuters have to wait for the new Nowra Bridge?”, Fiona said. “It’s now become apparent that completion of planning has been pushed out until the end of 2019, that’s after the next Federal and State election”, Fiona continued. “There’s no costings even available”, Fiona said. “Just how many Liberal MP’s does it take to stall this project?”, Fiona continued. “Ann Sudmalis and Malcolm Turnbull have committed zero money for the construction of the new Nowra Bridge, not once cent”, Fiona said. “The Liberal Government has had 21 years with Liberal MP’s in Gilmore and here they are delaying, pushing the process out yet again”, Fiona continued. “Who would ever believe them?”, Fiona said. “An elected Shorten Labor Government has already committed to fund $50 million towards construction of the new Nowra Bridge”, Fiona continued. “Only a Shorten Labor Government will get the new Nowra Bridge built”, Fiona concluded.
