Nerriga smoke drifting to the coast

Residents in the Batemans Bay area have concerns regarding the smoke that they see in the west.

There has been a considerable fire in the Nerriga Region to the north of Braidwood - this area is quite visable to those in the north of the Eurobodalla shire.

Here is the latest from NSW Rural Fire Service - Lake George Zone as at 11:00am ·

Overnight crew s completed containment of the Nerriga Road Fire at Durran Durra and spent the remainder of the evening deepening those lines.

Fresh crews are now on the fire line and will continue extinguishing areas of active fire. Crews will also be on the look out for any any fire close to the edge that re-emerges as the day heats up.

Note that if you do see anything at all that might be bushfire related please report it immediately.
