Caution requested for those walking around nesting sites

The Durras Lake entrance Pied Oystercatcher nest is very close to hatching. In recent days a number of dogs have been walked in this area, despite it being well signed posted as dogs prohibited. It is not necessary for dogs to be walked in this shorebird nesting area. Adjacent to the Durras shorebird area there is a 1.4 kilometre off leash dog walking area. It is in fact one of the best dog walking locations in Eurobodalla Shire.
