At 4:59am this morning Moruya Station 384 was called to assist RP217 at a house fire in Edward Road, Batehaven. Station 217 Batemans Bay crews quickly got to work in defensive mode containing the fire spread to near by houses with the help of Moruya 384 station. Cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and being investigated The home has been destroyed and an occupant was taken to hospital treated for smoke inhalation .
