Eurobodalla Council will begin spraying sealed rural roadsides shire-wide and on the Kings Highway from today (Monday 28 August) to control the growth of woody weeds, shrubs and trees.

The spraying reduces the hazards caused by tree and shrub growth and helps protect road pavements from tree root damage

It is expected to be complete by Friday 29 September 2017.

The chemicals used to control the weeds are Metsulfuron (Brush-Off) and Glyphosate (Roundup).

Motorists are asked to take care around the slow-moving spraying vehicles.
