Pied Oystercatcher season about to start

Pied Oystercatcher nesting season at the Durras Lake entrance is only weeks away. Here are some photographs of the shorebird advocacy the Friends of Durras have been involved in for more than two decades. Pied Oystercatchers are listed as an endangered species. There are approximately 250 individual Pied Oystercatchers remaining here in NSW. 35 Pied Oystercatcher chicks have fledged at the Durras Lake entrance area over the past two decades.
