Leah Hearne of BBay stands tall on the World BMX stage

While most of the South Coast was sleeping over the last few days a small pocket rocket by the name of Leah Hearne was competing on the world stage in the BMX 2017 World Championships at Rock Hill, USA Leah Hearne started her quest in the 16 Girls Cruiser Class smashing out brilliant motos proving that all her hard work, dedication and preparation well and truely paid off.

Leah made it through Quarter Finals and then the Semi Finals but was taken out by another rider in her Semi. In her 20" class two days later Leah raced in the16 Girls Challenge Class. After smashing through her motos Leah crashed in the quarter finals and unfortunately spent the night in hospital. Sheridan Batistic‎ of Batemans Bay BMX offered "Don't worry she's ok, tough chick our Leah!"
