Batemans Bay Toastmasters Club News

Two members of Toastmasters, Rosemary Patyus from Batemans Bay Club and Mark Curtis from Moruya Club having won their respective contests, Rosemary (International Speech) & Mark (Evaluation contest) took the trip to the Division contest held in Canberra.

Whilst Rosemary failed to rank in the top three she delivered a professional and confident speech. Mark was successful in coming second, from seven other contestants. He delivered a professional evaluation and both are congratulated for representing our clubs on the South Coast. Mark was unable to stay to hear the results as he needed to get home to tend to his cows. Amanda Annabel as Area Director collected Marks Award for him and presented it to him at the Moruya Club meeting.

Rosemary was presented with her certificate by Contest Toastmaster, Tamara Abed ACS ALB.

The Monaro Division Conference was attended by approximately 80 enthusiastic members, providing an entertaining day with a range of speakers that spoke with self-assured confidence that projected a varied range of knowledge and styles.
