Council loses keys to new Corrigans Playground

Letter to the Editor For those regular readers of the Beagle you would be aware of my "beating of the drum" in relation to this playground area. A few weeks ago I placed an article and a photo of the gate at the park that was unlocked. The gate had been previously been secured with a black cable tie, this cable tie had been cut resulting in the gate being open, I said at the time, whilst I wasn't happy seeing the gate was secured with a cable tie at least the gate was secure. On my return visit to the park I found that the gate had again been secured now with 2 cable ties one at the top of the gate and one tie at the bottom of the gate (I guess my article and photo must have come to the attention of someone from within Council). I took another photo of the gate and 2 weeks later on my visit today these cable ties remain.

In this period of time I was hoping that the cable ties may have been replaced. Council what is wrong with finding the key that locks this section of gate or substitute this with a chain and lock, now it has come to my attention that cable ties should not be used anywhere near children (google children and cable ties). Trish H.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
