Claudine Bradley wins her age group at the Forbes Triathlon Festival

Eurocoast Triathlon Club member Claudine Bradley again showed her ability, by winning her age group at the Forbes Triathlon Festival on Saturday.

While most club members are preparing for the Batemans Bay Triathlons in 3 weeks time, Claudine was the only Eurocoast member racing, and competed in the hardest event of the day, the Ultimate race, consisting of a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride, and 21.1 km run (half ironman distance).

Claudine finished in a time of 5:40:39, and placed 8th overall for female competitors. Her swim time of 34:36 placed her in the top half of the field, and a bike ride of under 3 hours means she averaged more than 30km/h for that leg. This was followed by a half marathon run time of just over 2 hours, averaging more than 10km/h, after more than 3 and a half hours of racing.

Claudine has had a number of other age group wins, and this adds to the tally of outstanding results achieved by Eurocoast Triathlon Club members.

The Eurocoast Triathlon Club was established in 2014, to support triathletes at all levels and all abilities.

Club members now move into preparation mode for our home event, the Batemans Bay Triathlon Festival, to be held on 23 April.

Any inquiries about the club should be directed to its secretary, Ray Davidson, via email to aztec@southernphone.com.au
