Bronwyn Geppert to trek Kokoda for Cancer

In May, Bronwyn Geppert of Batemans Bay is throwing on her boots and backpack and trekking 96 kilometres of tropical rainforest in Papua New Guinea – the Kokoda Track to raise money for Cancer! Bronwyn’s goal is to raise at least $5,000 to donate to the Cancer Council – the more donations they receive and the more awareness there is, the greater the impact. On her Cancer Council donation page Bronwyn writes: In 2016, it was predicted that over 130,000 people in Australia would be diagnosed with some form of cancer. It was estimated that almost 47,000 people would lose their battle to cancer in the same year. The statistics are alarming and so many lives are affected each year. I want to help make a change. In May of this year, I am throwing on my boots and backpack and trekking 96 kilometres of tropical rainforest in Papua New Guinea - through the mountainous terrain that is the Kokoda Track! The Cancer Council and 'Inspired Adventures' have put together a once in a lifetime experience covering 11 days, following in the footsteps of Australian History, and raising funds and awareness to beat cancer! My goal is to raise at least $5,000 to donate to the Cancer Council - the more donations they receive and the more awareness there is, the greater the impact. The wonderful team at Raine and Horne Batemans Bay are supporting Bronwyn by holding a Cake Auction on Tuesday the 21st of March to help raise funds See the image below for the cakes being auctioned. You can call the Raine and Horne Batemans Bay office on 4472 6055 to place your bid You can always visit Bronwyn's fundraising page to make a donation @ http://cancercouncil-kokoda-2017.everydayhero.com/au/bronwyn
