Nothing planned for Moruya by-pass in the next twenty years

The editor

A Beagle Weekly correspondent quite rightly has asked about a Highway By-Pass of Moruya, and if there are plans in the present Princes Highway Corridor Strategy for a Moruya By- Pass plan any time in the future. After reading the present Princes Highway Strategy it’s clear that a Moruya By-Pass at this time is not a consideration in the 20year plan as is being proposed.

Most, if not all, present immediate thoughts about what is required with the Princes Highway as it affects the Eurobodalla Shire and the shire’s residents seem to be centred in the Batemans Bay area. The proposed new four lane bridge over the Clyde River, forecast to occur in the next 5 years, will be something to see occur and will fit with in the existing Princes Highway Corridor at Batemans Bay as well as with the Spine or Link Rd connection which is likely to be a roundabout in the next two years or state budgets. That’s what the RMS’s immediate focus will be.
