Happy 60th Birthday to the Batemans Bay Bridge!

Happy 60th Birthday to the Batemans Bay Bridge! Program of Events: 4:30pm—6:00pm Bridge Walk 5:30pm King Dog & Jagman 6:30pm Sweet Emily 7:30pm The Somedays 8:30pm Fireworks on the Clyde River All events are free to attend! The Bridge Walk will start at Korners Park (north eastern side of the brdige) at 4:30pm. This will not affect traffic crossing the Batemans Bay Bridge. Anyone that crosses the bridge between 4:30pm and 6:30pm will go into the draw to win a gift voucher from one of our very generous local businesses: Village Centre & Bridge Plaza, Saltwater Dream Surf Shop, Surf The Bay Surf School or JJ's at The Marina. Live bands will begin playing on the Batemans Bay foreshore from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Thanks to Bay Removals for the sponsorship of the stage! At 8:30pm Mosaic Fire will be letting off fireworks from a barge on the Clyde River! This barge is proudly sponsored by the Batemans Bay Marina and Bay Mooring and Barge Service. A big shout out goes to Eurobodalla Shire Council, Batemans Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rotary Batemans Bay and Coachhouse Marina Resort for their sponsorship and/or time in given to organise this community event! We look forward to seeing everyone from 4:30pm on Saturday! Today you can walk across the bridge from 4.30pm to 6.30pm and receive a certificate, enjoy live music on the foreshore and follow it up with fireworks at 8.30pm. Source PLUS! Don't miss this terrific display at Bridge Plaza. Local kids have made birthday cards for the bridge, come and check them out. Lots of great photos from 60 years ago too, thanks to the Batemans Bay Historical Society. Photos below shared from the Village Centre & Bridge Plaza Facebook post
