How can a bowl that is played incorrectly be a winner?
Tuross Head Women’s Bowling Club has the answer.
Each week, if a person bowls a bowl on the wrong bias and watches in disappointment and
shame as it wanders far away from the Jack at the other end, other members only smile as
they known at the end of the game, the player will make a donation to the wrong bias tin.
Happily, once a year the tin is emptied and the proceeds are donated to a very worthy
cause, the Moruya Hospital Auxiliary.
At a recent bowls game, the club was thrilled to be able to present a donation to Kath
Smith, President of the Auxiliary, when she joined us for morning tea and a chat. The
Moruya Hospital is close to all our hearts and we thank Kath and her team for their amazing
efforts and community spirit.
