Woodies Seeking Temporary Shed

The Woodies are seeking temporary accommodation and hope a member of the community might hear their plea.
Secretary Eric Simes said "Even though the Eurobodalla Woodies workshop was lost with all tools and timber in last year’s fires we are still an active organisation. We have many generously donated tools and machinery, some in storage and others distributed among the members. Since the fire devastation we purchased a mobile Hardwood bandsaw mill and have regular slabbing days to replenish our supply of timber ready for our new shed when we get one.
"We now have an agreement with Eurobodalla Shire Council to lease some land for new premises with two possible sites being considered in the Mogo area each with different planning considerations.
"While the planning issues relating to each of the two sites in question are being resolved the “Woodies” are in desperate need of temporary premises for about 12- 18 months. We are looking for between 100 and 150m2 of lockable space with single phase power and some toilet facility. The space is needed for storage of donated equipment and an area where members can get together to do some basic wood working.
"Last year we met on Mondays and Wednesdays from about 9.00am until 3.00pm with monthly social meetings on Saturday.
"We are seeking a farm shed or factory space within the northern end of the Shire and can pay a minimal rental," Eric said.
