The Beagle Editor, We have seen our Mayor tell people to stay away when we had bush fires. Then she did a little song and dance and invited them all back too early. After that almighty $@*^ up she then invited them back asking they bring empty eskies. But they wanted to bring more didn't they. Next thing we know they are bringing COVID with them so the Mayor told them all to stay away. Next thing we see is the Mayor out and about, strutting her stuff saying we are open for business again. From today, Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Illawarra-Shoalhaven and the Blue Mountains currently face a soft lockdown of sorts — i.e. 10 people per home, the four-square-metre rule returning for hospitality, no singing in indoor venues — to operate alongside the Northern Beaches’ hard lockdown until 11.59pm Wednesday. Illawarra-Shoalhaven !!! Mayor, that means anyone at North Durras, Bawley Point Ulladulla. Will you now go on National TV and tell them we have barely adequate health services to cope with the summer hoardes. Will you tell them that we are understaffed in our hospitals and our existing staff are bone tired in need of a decent holiday? While Wollongong is not a part of Greater Sydney, for the purpose of the NSW Government Public Health Order, the new rules and restrictions now apply to the Wollongong and Wollondilly LGA. So what do you plan to do Mayor? Residents of Greater Sydney region are today locked out of almost all states and territories. Why not Eurobodalla as well? Simon Bucknell Malua Bay
