UPDATE 3;15PM May 24th 2021: A message received form Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council: The VMS signs are not actually QPRCs and our roads staff can't update the wording. They have however been in touch with their counterparts in Eurobodalla Shire Council who put them up and we are advised that they are arranging for the signs to be updated. They'll likely say something along the lines of "Araluen Road Closed at Pidgeon Gully - No Access To Moruya" The Beagle Editor, So, I try not to whinge about this stuff, but after turning 50 or so people away in the past 2 weeks, and having non-stop people trying to drive through our private tracks, I’ve kinda had enough. If any one knows anyone who works for Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council who might be able to help us with this, please make some noise and forward this on... The electronic signs at the end of Araluen (before the dirt), and at the intersection of Araluen Rd and Cooma Rd (just out of Braidwood), both still say that the only landslide on Araluen Rd is at Knowles Creek.

This means that people trying to get to Bendethra or Yellow Flower or anywhere in the middle of the slips still think they can get through. It’s not fair for those people and it sucks for us. Both signs need to be changed to say the road is closed, is unsafe and there is no through road anywhere. Heck, even a roadblock at Araluen (like when the fires were on) wouldn’t go astray. How hard is it QPRC...?! I have personally told three council representatives about this in the past 2 weeks and called the council on Thursday to get them changed. Change the signs..! Thank you, rant over, carry on.. Hamish Hudson
