Duplicitous Senior Council Staff ??
Thank you for your tenacity in relation to the shenanigans of our council, particularly the non elected officials who think they know better than the ratepayers and elected officers.
The long game, as you put it, is becoming self evident.
I for one would like to see a clean out of the long term senior council members. Too often long term public service (especially at local levels) incumbents become fixated on their personal beliefs/way of doing things rather than the more objective view of what shire residents want and more importantly, expect of our paid employees.
Commitments made in paid position over many years can lead these employees down a path that is not as objective as it should be.
Many of our elected councillors are either naive, incompetent or don't really care, filling the elected role as an ego trip or a way of becoming 'influential'.
Many satires could be written about our council along this lines, unfortunately.
Anyway, keep up the excellent journalism.
