Dear South Coast Realtors,
Not so long ago everyone on the South Coast was clamouring to do everything they could for bushfire affected folks. Now it appears we have been forgotten and are being thrown under the bus of greed.
Those of us who lost our homes and paid our insurance are now cashed up with no place to go if we have decided not to rebuild. My husband and I are watching the real estate market daily, almost hourly, hoping for the right place to come along. We are seeing prices for places that would have been comparable to what we had go on the market for 100-200 thousand over what we used to have. This is ripping hope from our hearts. Will we even be able to afford getting our lives back to what we had?
