Wharf Road access changes in Batemans Bay

Motorists are advised of access changes for Wharf Road in Batemans Bay from next week as part of construction work for the Batemans Bay Bridge replacement project.

Traffic changes include the permanent closure of southbound access to the Princes Highway from Wharf Road and the temporary closure of southbound access to Wharf Road via the Princes Highway.

From the Princes and Kings highways, motorists will be able to access Wharf Road via Peninsula Drive.

The access changes will be in place from Monday 27 April, the temporary southbound access closure is expected remain in place until mid-2021, weather permitting.

Wharf Road realignment earthworks, construction of a new roundabout, and the reconstruction of Korners Park as part of the northern foreshore will be carried out while these access changes are in place.

Wharf Road pedestrian access to Batemans Bay will be maintained at all times and a temporary bus turnaround area will be established near Korners Park.

Traffic control measures will be in place and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
