Welcome to GRUNGE FEST 2022 in BBay

Okay folks!!! Here it is!!!

We here at #bAY-uN-dER-gROUND in collaboration with SALTY NOISE RECORDS want to start 2022 and end the summer school holidays the right way… in fact the only way we know how to, and that is by rocking the shit outta Batemans Bay.

Welcome to GRUNGE FEST 2022!! We are so pumped to bring this new little festival to this little town we love so much and we are extra pumped to bring you our thumping headliners MILD MANIC with a seriously talented bunch of local bands and musos in support, with a couple of heavy hitters from interstate as well with the likes of CHASE MAKAI and PAPER HILL.

The date is set for Saturday the 29th of January 2022 and the event kicks off at 12 lunch. We are so excited to have the insanely talented local lads from Mild Manic to headline (with a couple of their members livin' in Melbourne these days we are truly stoked they have decided to come back for a bit of a reunion) and the extremely talented Chase Makai who is bringing along his whole band. These guys have a great message to share with you guys inside their music and they are going to be cranking it loud and proud.

So our point is, make sure you get there right on 12 lunch so you don’t miss a thing…

We have 12 plus hrs of live music and entertainment, community reconnection and engagement in the way of alternative mental health support networks with warrior tribe and the common unity collective which I’m sure we could all use a dose of at the moment or even a leg up with, with all the chaos of the last couple of years, along with info on good food and nutrition with peeps involved In local community based, grassroots movements and projects, Indigenous cultural awareness and a welcome to country by our local Yuin mob. We will also have a couple of amazing fire dancers showing off their rad skills too. Connect that with the mighty skills of all the bands involved…

Well you get all this for the tiny little price of:

Adults (18+) $30

Teens (13+) $20

Kids (12 and under) $10

As Jimoen used to say in his Irish accent “BARGAIN”

If you miss out on tickets online never fear there will be tickets available at the door (assuming we don’t sell out online that is) but they will be a little more on the day:

(Door tickets)

Adults (18+) $40

Teens (13+) $30

Kids (12 and under) $15

So yeah still a bargain on the day but def even better value on the presale…

There will be food and refreshments available to purchase on the day as well. We have the lovely Hailey Louise Smith cooking up some yummy street food and curries and Aiden on the Sloppy Joes (there will be meat and vegan options available) there will also be a coffee van and small snacks for the kiddies too. All sales and proceeds for the food go directly to the stall holders so show 'em some love and support cause they have been doin' it tough with their businesses over the last couple of years too.

If you wish to sit and chill instead of dance please feel welcome to byo chairs (eg camping chairs etc) otherwise it’s all standing due to the nature of the venue.

Please note: Whilst this event is open to all ages and all measures will and are being taken to the best of our ability to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time we ask that parents please use their own discretion as to whether it will be appropriate for their child or not. We ask that parents please also keep in mind that this is still a rock show and by the nature of rock shows can and will get a little rowdy at times and some content and language may be deemed inappropriate for some young children. If you do decide to bring your young children we ask that you take full responsibility for them at all times as this is a public event. Apart from the measures we have taken to ensure safety we state here that parents bring their young children at their own risk…

Please also note: whilst refreshments will be available to purchase on the day there will be no alcohol served at this event.

Our goal for this event is to bring the community back together and start healing from all the trauma from the last couple of years so we want everyone to look out for and look after each other so that everyone has a rocking fun time and everyone gets home safe to their loved ones.

We want everyone to have a great and safe time and simply just reconnect with some awesome tunes and some freaking cool vibes and get our community buzzing again…

For any more info please feel free to flick me a message on Instagram, Facebook or messenger…

KEEP IT REAL!! KEEP IT LIVE!!

Can’t wait to see you all there…
