We Are Explorers: Top 8 Activities to try in Eurobodalla

We Are Explorers spent a week immersing themselves in the region's transformative experiences, with a particular focus on the rich history and living culture of the Yuin people. Top 8 Activities to try in Eurobodalla 1. Take a guided walk along the Bingi Dreaming Track The 13km Bingi Dreaming Track follows a local Aboriginal songline along the gorgeous Eurobodalla coast. Led by Trish, a local Aboriginal guide from Minga Cultural Experiences, you’ll embark on a fascinating 2 hour walk through spectacular coastal headlands as she teaches you all about traditional bush food, medicine, and Indigenous history along the way.

2. Taste freshly shucked oysters at the Oyster Shed on Wray Street Jade and her family have been growing award winning oysters for 64 years out of their base on the Clyde River in Batemans Bay. The panoramic views up and down the river (and Jade’s passion) will make these fresh oysters taste even better.

3. Delight in the tiny towns along the way In between the major towns of Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma lie tiny villages full of character just begging you to pull the car over, jump out and explore. Taste the dairy goodness of Bodalla, browse the endless niche stores of Mogo, and take in the history and beauty of Central Tilba at the foot of Mount Gulaga.

4. Kayak through Clyde River National Park If you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-track experience then a paddle through the region’s tranquil waters could be just the ticket. Region X are local operators who know the hidden beaches and mangrove mazes of the Clyde River better than anyone. Let them show you around or take a self-guided tour instead. 5. Go snorkelling at Mystery Bay Pack your snorkel and fins and head for stunning Mystery Bay. Swim between the iconic rock formations and discover the sea life hiding below the surface. Or just perch up on the sand and take in the magic. 6. Wake up to Mystery Bay Mystery Bay is so spectacular, a day trip isn’t long enough to truly appreciate it all. Pack your tent and spend the night amongst the towering gum trees as you fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves at Mystery Bay Campground. 7. Explore the historic gold rush village of Central Tilba by e-bike Spend a half day cruising the backroads from Narooma on by e-bike, before finishing up at the historic Dromedary Hotel for lunch. Afterwards wander the quaint main street and shops of the historic gold rush village Central Tilba, all thanks to the good folk at Southbound Escapes. 8. Take a scenic cruise on Wagonga Inlet Hop aboard the Wagonga Princess and watch the sun drop behind Mother Gulaga, the Mother Mountain. This is perhaps the finest way to complete a Eurobodalla adventure.
