Wayne Fullerton: Tuross Stableford Winner

Wayne Fullerton, with a high stableford score of 41 points, was the winner of the Tuross Head men’s golf competition on Saturday. Wayne was followed by Roger Chappell with 39 points, filling second spot on a countback from Shane Gschwend and Martin Booth who all scored 39 points. Bruce Cleeve, with 38 points, was the remaining award winner.

Nearest the pins were won by:

A grade golfer Ian Lawson on the 4th hole with 1.41 m.

Dave Gray won the 6th with 2.00 m and

Ken Brown the 7th with 4.10 m.

B grade player Trevor Jones was closest on the 4th hole     with 1.25 m.

Greg Booth was the best on the 6th with 2.50 m and

Trevor Jones also won the 7th with 10.58 m.

Best of the C grade players was Shane Gschwend on the 4th hole with 2.93 m.

Graeme Bell won the 6th with 4.08 m and John Eglitis was closest on the 7th with 4.87  m.

Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Tony Russell with 40 points beating Paul Rowe on a countback.

Desmond Jackson filled third position with 39 points and Joel Hilliard followed with 38 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Steve Swanbury and Colin Houghton who was closest on both the 6th and 7th holes.
